Augmented

I remember the first augmented chord I ever heard (and consciously thought, what was that!?). It was in the Beatle’s version of Till There Was You on their Anthology album.

Augmented chords & scales are not super common in jazz (or as far as I can tell!). Today we worked on a few exercises and listened to some solos that included some augmented scales & chord tones.

Finally, we worked more on Dexter Gordon’s Three O’Clock in the morning. I forgot how much I love this solo.
